1) Digital Television a. SupraHD780 Overview Zoran’s SupraHD® 780 reference hardware module can be used in a LCD-based DTV. The reference TV application software complies with the ATSC broadcast standards. The reference design includes a hardware PCB with the Zoran SupraHD® 780 integrated DTV single-chip solution.The hardware and software make a full-featured system that allows tuning, decoding, and display of analog (NTSC) and digital (ATSC) terrestrial broadcast. At the heart of the reference hardware board is the SupraHD® 780 DTV System IC that decodes standard-definition and high-definition content. It is capable of driving various LCD panels, including 1440 x 900 resolution. 2) Set-Top-Box a. SupraHD 741 Overview Zoran’s SupraHD® 741 reference design consists of a set-top-box ready for manufacturing and a set-top-box application with complete middleware software stack, including closed-caption support. The set-top-box accepts all the ATSC formats (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i) and outputs 480i to a NTSC TV. The SupraHD® 741 Processor is highly integrated, consisting of an 8VSB demodulator, an MPEG-2 HD decoder, high-performance CPU, graphics engine, video scaler, channel 3 / 4 modulator, stereo audio DAC and integrated sleep mode support without a microcontroller. It also supports a variety of system interfaces, such as an infrared receiver, flash memory and DDR SDRAM interfaces. The decoded ATSC video stream can be output in composite (CVBS), and S-video (Y/C, optional) and channel 3 / 4 RF modulated formats. b. SupraTV 160 Overview The SupraTV® 160 family of highly integrated digital TV processors combines the key functions required to support digital television systems, the SupraTV processor enables products with enhanced flexibility and performance to be developed at the lowest possible system cost.
